A Local Solution to a National Problem

The Deportation Defense Legal Network (DDLN) was created during the Trump Administration to assure the preservation of justice and due process for all immigrants by providing pro bono legal representation and orientation to detained immigrants in Missouri and Kansas.  We thank everyone who made this possible.

Since 1993

Only 14% of detained immigrants are able to hire an attorney to defend them before an Immigration Judge. This lack of appointed counsel has a deep and undeniable impact on their ability to receive a fair hearing.

Only 2% of detained and unrepresented individuals receive favorable rulings in their immigration cases. This systematic issue creates economic hardship, emotional distress, and family separation for members of our community.
